The internet provides an abundance of information, which can be a blessing and a curse. Thanks to the plethora of natural hair blogs and Youtube videos, you have the power and information to take care of your hair properly, but it can be overwhelming. Do you find yourself becoming frustrated because you see women rocking creative twist/braid styles that you, time and time again fail to accomplish? Or maybe your hair is worse off now than it was when you first went natural because you've hopped on every bandwagon there is, trying to see if the products that everyone else raves about, work for you. I know for me--I'm always inspired by creative hairstyles. I know how to cornrow, flat twist, etc, but it's not to the point where I can do something like this by myself:
It seems that with natural hair there is an expectation for women to always walk around with masterpieces on their head (Why? I don't know). However, don't feel pressured to be able to do the most creative natural hairstyles or to try the latest products/styling techniques that are "in" right now. When it comes to hair care, patience and persistence are very important, and the number one rule is to "Do what works for YOU." The great thing about natural hair is that even if you come to the conclusion that creative styles aren't your thing, an afro puff or even a bare afro is still beautiful and still turns heads! All you need is confidence and a positive attitude

So very true ! do what works best for you. I know in the beginning of my journey it was super overwhelming trying to figure out the best ingredients, do & donts of proper hair and why certain things dont work, etc. But, before long I got the hang of it.....THANKFULLY:) TAKE CARE

I have become frustrated time after time with trying so called "easy" styles I see tutorials for on YT. Mine NEVA EVA come even close to looking like the original. Lol! The only style I have mastered is the curly fro and my twist outs are JUST starting to look better. I keep trying though. QUEENS NEVER QUIT!! :)
