Product Review | Curl Kit + Your chance to win some products!

In case you have been living under a rock haven't heard about CurlKit, it's one of the latest subscription services available to women with natural hair. You pay $20 a month and receive product samples (and a few full-sized products). Some might think that $20 is a little steep to pay monthly for samples, but I think $20 is well worth it to try products that could easily run you $40+ (some products are just too expensive for "trial and error"). When I received my CurlKit, the first thing I thought was "Wow, this is heavy." As soon as I opened my box, I was hit with a very pleasant fragrance (I'm assuming it was the Curl Prep Sweet Buttah-- smells SO good). I received the following products:
  • Curly Hair Solutions - Curl Keeper
  • Curl Prep - Sweet Buttah
  • Kynx - Leave-In Moisturizer
  • Bee Mine - Bee Mine Juicy
  • Sof 'N Free - Nothing But Curl Sealer (full size)
  • Sof 'N Free - Nothing But Curl Wake Up Spray (full size)
  • One 'N Only - Argan Oil Moisture Repair Conditioner
  • Curly Canadians - Hair Love (I've already used about 75% of this...on my body. Don't judge me)
One thing I found cute and helpful was the little info card that came inside the box. On the back of the card, there's a a message from the CurlKit team as well as detailed descriptions of each product that was included. My box also came with an abundance of informative materials-- business cards, brochures, and discounts from some of the companies featured in the box.

If you're interested in trying some of these products, you're in luck! I'm giving away the Curl Keeper, Kynx Leave-In, Sof 'N Free Curl Sealer, and the Bee Mine spray. To enter, simply leave a comment below with your email address. The last day to enter is June 8, 2012 at 12:01 AM. The winner will be chosen randomly.

For those who would like to try an entire CurlKit for themselves, CurlKit was nice enough to offer 10% off your purchase when you use the code onyxrose! Enjoy :-)

Big thank you to CurlKit for allowing me to review their service!

  15. I'm more so here for the comment, but I'll partake in the Giveaway as well. :)

But now what I was going to say was.. I've been having the debate of subscribing to CurlKit since I'm already subscribed to CurlBox -- but after seeing all that they give you, I think I'm up for spending an additional $20 to see what they have to offer.

I'm just curious to see just how many haircare products there really is out there.
