Nappy hair.
Some people may embrace this phrase, but the majority of people (of all races) use it in a derogatory way. The fact that the only type of hair attributed to black people has such a negative connotation, disappoints me.I became curious about natural hair one day, so I watched various natural hair videos on Youtube and loved what I saw. I asked myself, "Why do I relax my hair?" and I couldn't think of any real reason as to why I did it...it was just "the thing to do." So, I gave natural hair a shot and two transition attempts later, I am natural and have been since March 2010.
My goal is to inspire black women to embrace their natural hair and realize that kinky, curly, coily hair is just as beautiful and desirable as relaxed/straight hair.
If you have a negative perception of natural hair, I want you to leave my blog having a new found love for natural hair.
If you already embrace natural hair, I want this blog to inspire you to continue to love it!
